On Market Trading

All futures contracts traded on SFE other than Block Traders or Exchange for Physicals, must be executed via the SYCOM trading system using one of the following order types.

"Limit" (LIM) Order – standard order within SYCOM with limits on price and volume.

“Good Till Cancelled” (GTC) order – behaves as a limit order however a GTC will remain in the system over successive trading sessions until such time as the operator cancels it or the order is filled.

“Fill or Kill” (FOK) order – once released to the market a FOK order has a “life” of twenty seconds. If the order is not filled or only partially filled within the twenty second period it will be automatically cancelled or if partially filled the remaining volume will be cancelled.

Shared Order – Enables orders to be modified or cancelled by all operators within a defined group. Managers are able to select which operators have access to shared orders by designating operators a group/s.

Market Limit Orders – Give the user the ability to enter an order three price levels outside the current market as per sweep orders. It also enables the user to select a price between the available three price levels.

Timed Orders – Give the user the ability to release an order with a specified cancel date and time. Expiry time must be in host time (i.e. Sydney time) and within 24 hours of the current host time.

Sweep Orders – Enable the user to view the next three available price levels. The user must select one of these price levels. This automatically adjusts the volume and price fields accordingly. Volume can be changed manually but not price.

Custom Orders - strategies of up to six legs can be created using any combination of futures and/or options.
